Accomplices, Alessandro Enriquez, a designer from Palermo born in 1983, and Marco Lodola, an Italian artist and exponent of the New Futurism, who four-handedly gave body and soul to the colourful looks of the new autumn-winter 2023/24 collection presented during the last Milan fashion week.
Enriquez’s drawings gave rise to Marco Lodola‘s interpretations, who transformed the glamour icons into luminous sculptures of dizzying heights, which featured in the campaign shots as well as being visible in the display at Palazzo Morando during Milan Fashion Week. Marco Lodola, on the other hand, entrusted Enriquez with his designs to be contaminated, for the ‘Enriquez/Lodola’ looks inspired by the graphic imagery of the Italian circus. Polka dots and a thousand stripes, distorted, psychedelic to cite immortal icons such as Moira Orfei. Overflowing colours and unfailing hearts, in a fashion game of genderless fluidity. Oversize coats give way to micro miniskirts, crop t-shirts in sequins alternating with tight-fitting chemisier dresses or maxi printed skirts, with knitwear embellished with ‘very Circus’ coloured buttons.
