The 15th edition of MyFrenchFilmFestival is set to captivate audiences worldwide with a month-long celebration of French-language cinema. From January 17 to February 17, 2025, cinephiles will have the opportunity to explore a carefully curated selection of 18 films, participate in audience awards, and follow the decisions of three highly distinguished juries.
The International Jury: A Stellar Panel for the Grand Prix
This year, MyFrenchFilmFestival is proud to welcome an illustrious International Jury tasked with awarding the Grand Prix for Best Feature Film. This coveted prize comes with €15,000, to be shared equally among the winning film’s director, producer, and distributor.
The 2025 International Jury is composed of world-renowned creatives, including:
- Zar Amir, the acclaimed Franco-Iranian actor, producer, and director;
- Viggo Mortensen, the Danish-American actor and filmmaker celebrated for his diverse roles and directorial works;
- Noémie Merlant, the award-winning French actor and director known for her outstanding contributions to contemporary cinema;
- Tarik Saleh, the Swedish writer, director, and producer whose works have garnered international acclaim;
- Andrey Zvyagintsev, the Russian writer and director whose films have become landmarks of global cinema.

An International Press Jury will also play a key role by selecting a standout feature film from the competition. The jury is composed of prominent journalists from leading outlets across the globe:

- Boyd van Hoeij (Screen International, UK);
- Marco Consoli (freelance, Italy);
- Gonzalo Lira (El Heraldo TV, Mexico).
This jury’s expertise and global perspective ensure that the chosen film will resonate far beyond the French-speaking world.
The Content Creators Jury: A Fresh Take on Shorts
In a nod to the growing influence of digital platforms, a dedicated Content Creators Jury will award a short film in competition. These passionate cinema influencers include:
- Shruti Nagesh (@thecinemastories, in English);
- Alejandro Chávez (@jorandro_, in Spanish);
- Jovan Vasiljević (@cinematologist, in English).
Their unique perspectives promise to bring a fresh and dynamic lens to the short film competition.
Audience Awards: Your Voice Matters
The festival invites audiences to be part of the celebration by voting for their favorite films. One feature film and one short film will receive the Audience Awards.
